The Finance of Romance Book Release Party

The event takes place at the Holiday Inn Expresss Carpinteria (5606 Carpinteria Ave. , Carpinteria, CA) from 2pm to 4pm on March 31st, 2012.

Valentine’s Day Kiss-A-Thon and World record Attempt

Leon Scott Baxter and Financial Guru Tim Tremblay will be hosting a Guinness World Record attempt on Valentine’s Day at Tremblay Financial in Santa Barbara, CA, looking for the couple who can land the most kisses in 60 seconds. The event is called “Kisses for Cancer.”

Kisses for Cancer will be a fundraiser for Kidz for a Cure (a charity started by an 8-year old to help fight pediatric cancer).

Couples will be asked to donate $10 to Kidz for a Cure and will first need to qualify for the event before Valentine’s Day (learn how here). The top three couples will compete for the record as well as a romantic Valentine’s Getaway.

The hosts are hoping not only to find a pair to set the record, but also to remind couples on Valentine’s Day that investing in their relationships is as important as investing in their finances, and what easier way is there to invest than with a kiss? Local media promises to cover the event and there’s hope that a network morning show may make it to the smooch-fest.
