For Couples Committed to Staying in Love

Forty Beads

I have to admit, I haven’t tried the Forty Beads method yet, but it intrigues me enough to make it my pick of the month.

At the beginning of relationships, sexual intimacy generally isn’t an issue, but as the relationship matures and the novelty starts to wane, often so does sexual intimacy. Very often the partner with the stronger sex drive becomes frustrated always trying to initiate when their partner may not be as interested.

The concept of Carolyn Evans’ book Forty Beads is quite simple. All you need is a handful of beads and a bowl. When one partner wants sex, they drop one of their forty beads into their partner’s bowl, and the partner will initiate sex within 24 hours. This takes the pressure off of “sex right now.” It allows the partner with the lower libido to have control and mentally prepare for intimacy, while allowing suspense to build with the requesting partner as he/she waits in anticipation not knowing when, where or how.

The website reads: “The Forty Beads Method is a fun, totally innovative approach to sex in a marriage that creates lasting, positive results. The Method dissolves the negative tension that builds around sex in a marriage and replaces it with the sex life you always thought you should have, which in turn creates the relationship you’ve always wanted. Everything you need to know to begin using The Forty Beads Method”from its women-tested rules to every important subtlety”is in the book Forty Beads: The Simple Sexy Secret for Transforming Your Marriage”.

You can get the book on the Forty Beads Website as well as a kit if you don’t want to make your own. Check it out and tell me what you think.
