Mel’s Going To Be A Daddy… Again

Okay, um… what?! Did you just say that Mel Gibson is expecting his eighth child, first with his mistress, 39-year old, Russian singer, Oksana Grigorieva? And, wait, didn’t I recently read (in this very blog four weeks ago) that Mel’s wife was filing for divorce because of said Russian singer marital affair?

And, isn’t the man going to have to fork over something like a half billion bucks to his soon to be ex for his straying ways? Now, that he’s put a bun in Oksana’s oven, that number may jump even higher. But, that’s just me starting rumors. My job is really to look at love, romance and relationships.

Mel, dear Mel Gibson, you have seven kids already. You’ve been married for 29 years to the same woman. You act in, direct, and produce major motion pictures. Why don’t you realize that bringing a child into this turbulent whirlwind that you may be calling a relationship, is not the healthiest thing for you, Oksana, nor your Baby Gibson?

Look, Mr. Braveheart, you were hitched to “the woman of your dreams” for nearly three decades, and you had more kids than the Bradys. And, it still didn’t work out. Do you really think getting your mistress pregnant while you’re still married to said woman of dreams will make this new relationship better than the one you’re not even out of yet? Come on, Mel, it’s not like you’re drunk driving, spitting out anti-semitic remarks in L.A. You’ve had sober time to think this through. What’s going on?!

You can’t bring a kid into a chaotic relationship like this. You need to end what you have with Robyn first. You need to build a foundation with Oksana next. Then you need to plan for your baby… Well, I guess you really don’t need to do any of these things. But, you really should have if you want to be happy.

I don’t think you are happy right now, Mel. You’ve found that the money and fame don’t bring the happiness you really want, and you’re scrambling now. Take a deep breath. Take your time and think the rest of your choices through. Happiness is out there, as well as true love, and it may very well be with Oksana, but you’re stacking the odds against you by jumping into all this before you’re out of what you started 29 years ago.
